Terms of Service

Effective July 17, 2026 · Vice Robotics LLC

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Vice Robotics LLC (“Vice Robotics,” “Tappd,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). They govern the Tappd iPhone app, App Clip, website, receipt-claim experience, and related services (the “Service”). By installing, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. The Service is not directed to children under 13. You are responsible for accurate account information, the security of your sign-in method and device, and activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

The service

Tappd lets you collect, organize, search, split, and export receipts and view merchant-provided loyalty information. Availability varies by merchant, processor, device, region, and app version. Tappd is not a bank, card network, wallet, money transmitter, payment processor, tax adviser, or accounting service. We do not authorize charges, route funds, hold money, or process or store full card credentials.

Acceptable use

Your content and sharing

You retain ownership of information you create or import. You grant Vice Robotics a limited license to host, process, reproduce, and transmit that information only as needed to provide, secure, and support the Service. You represent that you have the right to provide and share the content. You are responsible for recipients and destinations you choose when exporting or sharing.

Receipts, merchants, and loyalty

Receipts, item details, purchase status, and loyalty information may come from merchants and their service providers. Records can be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, or incorrect, and Tappd is not a substitute for an official merchant receipt, bank statement, tax record, or proof of payment. The merchant controls the underlying purchase, returns, refunds, charge corrections, warranties, and loyalty program. Contact the merchant or your payment provider for those matters.

Subscriptions & payments

If paid features are offered, pricing and the billing period will be shown before purchase. Purchases made through Apple are processed by the App Store and are subject to Apple’s payment, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms. We do not receive your full payment credentials. You can manage an App Store subscription through your Apple account. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights.

Intellectual property

Tappd, its design, software, and Vice Robotics content are owned by Vice Robotics or its licensors and protected by law. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to use the Service on devices you own or control. Apple and other licensors retain their respective rights.

Privacy and third-party services

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. The Service can link to or interoperate with Apple, merchants, identity providers, receipt providers, and other third parties. Their products and terms are separate from ours, and we are not responsible for services we do not control.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using Tappd at any time and may delete an eligible signed-in account through Account → Data controls. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the Service, respond to legal requirements, address fraud or security risk, or enforce these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” Vice Robotics disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted operation or the accuracy, availability, or completeness of merchant, receipt, loyalty, scan, split, or export information. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so they may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vice Robotics and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunity. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.

Changes

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We will post updated Terms with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required by law. Changes apply prospectively. If you do not agree to updated Terms, stop using the Service.

Governing law

Applicable federal law and the law of the state where Vice Robotics has its principal place of business govern these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. A dispute may be brought in any court with lawful jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms waives non-waivable consumer rights or a forum available under applicable law.
